The movement of the air in our atmosphere is caused by varying patterns of
pressure — which together create wind of many sorts! Disparities of these
atmospheric pressures is balanced as the air travels from high to lower
areas of pressue. The speed of wind depends on the differences of pressure
between where the air is coming from and where it is headed. The greater
the difference, the faster the wind.
